These deaths are mainly related to non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer and diabetes. The recommended level of physical activity varies with the age:<\/p>\n<p>-for children and adolescents aged between 5 and 17years it is recommended to practice at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous-intensity physical activity daily.<\/p>\n<p>-for adults it is recommended to practice at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity throughout the week, or do at least 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity throughout the week, or an equivalent combination of moderate and vigorous-intensity activity.<\/p>\n<p>Regular and adequate levels of physical activity improve:<\/p>\n<p>-Muscular and cardio-respiratory fitness<\/p>\n<p>-Bone structure<\/p>\n<p>-Reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases, obesity, diabetes, cancer and some mental problems[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]Physical activity is defined by the World Health Organisation as: \u201cany bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that require energy expenditure\u201d.
